I am happy to teach all levels of driving from people who come with no previous experience to those who may not have driven for a few years and need some practice to restore their confidence.

For new drivers, the first few lessons are focussed on control, steering and basic safety before we move onto busier roads or start the manoeuvres. The pace of teaching is always set to match your needs.

I encourage pupils to have regular weekly lessons which usually last for an hour and a half . The first few are spent in Ross on Wye and then as your confidence grows we can start to broaden your experience. I then start to take you to Monmouth to familiarise you with the area and prepare you for your test.

I do not provide intensive courses as such but will fit in extra lessons in the week if possible, if you have a deadline for passing your test. *

I have some materials available for pupils to borrow to help them prepare for their theory test and I am always happy to help with any theory topics that you may find need clarification.

The car used for instruction is a Peugeot 206 and is of course fitted with dual controls. *

Anyone with learning difficulties I would spend some time assessing their needs and give an honest appraisal as soon as I could. Some people may find it easier to learn in an automatic car and I would be able to refer you to a more suitable instructor without wasting too much of your time
